In living donor liver transplantation (LDLT), donor safety is the most important consideration. Dayangac and co-workers have previously investigated the importance of remnant liver volume in living donors of right lobe grafts and whether a right lobe graft with the middle hepatic vein (MHV+) or without the middle hepatic vein (MHV–) should be used.
